Recently, the TSA announced on their Twitter page “Ask TSA,” that “Products that contain hemp-derived CBD oil or are FDA-approved are generally legal & can fly.” Basically, TSA is stating that any product or medication that contains hemp-based CBD is legal to bring on a plane as long as it fits within the regulations under the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018.

Additionally, you’ll want to ensure that your CBD products, like tinctures or oils, are under the 3.4 oz limit for liquids if you pack it in your carry-on. It may be advisable to pack your CBD in your checked luggage if you will need more than that while you travel.

How Else Can You Travel with CBD?

If you don’t feel comfortable bringing your CBD with you while you travel, you still have options. You can mail a few CBD products to your destination, which you can pick up when you arrive.
