How does CBD Oil work?
Cannabinoids are naturally produced in our bodies. They act on the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which regulates homeostasis and a host of other things. Supplementing with CBD, a plant-based cannabinoid, may have a beneficial impact on this system.Why is Full-Spectrum Better?
Full-Spectrum CBD is made using a broader extraction process that contains more of the cannabis plant than just CBD alone. Full-spectrum CBD will contain terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids and fatty acids found in hemp, all of which have therapeutic value of their own and help create what’s know as the "Entourage Effect".
What is the Entourage Effect?
The Entourage Effect is the synergistic interaction of the cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes, and fatty acids naturally found in full-spectrum CBD extract. The Entourage Effect refers to the beneficial effect of all these compounds working synergistically together as opposed to just one or two of these compounds working in isolation.
Cold Extraction at Negative 40 Degrees
Our full spectrum cold extracted oils test out between 64-70% CBD. This cold process leaves a better quality full spectrum that includes more of what you want and less of what you don't. At a temperature around -40° we are able to maximize the cannabinoids (non-polar) and cannabinoid-acids (polar) yield while minimizing the undesirable compounds like chlorophyll and waxes.

Why Cold Extraction is better than CO2
Once harvested, our hemp is extracted here in Colorado using a food-grade ethanol cold extraction process. This process is superior to CO2 extraction because the plant does not have to be obliterated before extraction. In CO2 extraction, the plant has to be turned into a powder like substance before extraction. During this process, many of the beneficial volatile terpenes are destroyed. Lastly, because of a process called winterization, most CO2 processes are not solvent free (a common misconception).

Our CBD oil is flavored using natural peppermint or orange creamsicle flavoring with a hint of sweetness from stevia. This combination perfectly hides the potent "hemp" aroma of a quality full-spectrum product.
Potency and Why it Matters
Depending on your reason for using CBD, you may require a higher dose. While most of our customers start out with our 500mg tincture, they are usually impressed with the results and would like to try a higher milligram per serving. For this reason, we have made 4 different strengths to cater to your needs.

Why 2oz Tinctures and Not 1oz?
Axis Labs CBD Oil tinctures may stand out from other products on the market because we use a 2oz tincture, while the plurality of the market uses 1oz. We do this is for two important reasons:
First, by doubling the tincture size, we double the servings, allowing the user to dose their serving more accurately. There may only be 30 servings in a 1oz tincture which give more room for error when consuming. If you are looking for 16.6mg per serving from our 500mg tincture, the solution is easy- take two servings!
Secondly, 2oz allows us to better dilute the hemp extract more with MCT oil providing a much better taste at no additional cost.

Directions
Directions: As a dietary supplement, take one (1) to two (2) servings of CBD oil one (1) to two (2) times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Keep away from heat, light, and moisture as not to affect potency.
